Do you partner with marketing agencies?
No. AgencyLens is fully independent. We have no partnerships, affiliate deals, or commissions with the marketing agencies you hire. We work for you — not for your agency. Your data is never shared without your explicit consent.
Can my agency see that I use AgencyLens?
No. AgencyLens reads data through the Google Ads API — the same system your agency uses. No notification or alert appears. Your agency won't notice any difference.
Can you make changes to my Google Ads account?
Absolutely not. We only read data. Our code contains no write operations whatsoever — this is enforced by automated security tests. You can remove the connection at any time with a single click.
My agency delivers good results. Why would I need this?
Results matter, but they say nothing about how much work is actually being done. Many agencies do a lot at the start, but once the campaigns are 'running', activity tends to drop — while your monthly fee stays the same. AgencyLens gives you objective data for an honest conversation.
What if my agency makes few changes but delivers good results?
Then that's good news — you have an efficient agency. AgencyLens helps you confirm that with data. But if you're paying €5,000 a month and they log in for 30 minutes a month, that's worth a conversation.
How is work time calculated?
We analyse the timestamps of every change your agency makes. Changes made in quick succession form a 'session'. Proven active time is the exact measured time. On top of that, we estimate overhead for analysis and research (3x the active time). Report reviews and meetings aren't measurable — and we're always upfront about that.
What exactly do you measure?
Every change in your Google Ads account: keyword additions/removals, bid adjustments, ad copy changes, budget changes, audience targeting, campaign structure. Plus: who made the change, when, and how long they were at it.
Do I need to give my agency access to AgencyLens?
No. You connect your own Google Ads account. Your agency doesn't need to know or do anything. You share the results whenever you choose to.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes, plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled any month. No notice period, no questions asked. When you cancel, your data and OAuth tokens are deleted immediately.

That's exactly why transparency matters. If an agency automates (part of) their work with AI tools, that can be perfectly fine — but then the question is whether the cost still matches the effort. With AgencyLens you see objectively what's happening, whether it's manual or automated. So you can have an honest conversation about what you're paying for.
Why does AgencyLens get more valuable the longer I use it?
Google deletes change history after a limited window — the API only serves the last 30 days. AgencyLens stores your full change archive and takes daily performance snapshots permanently. After 6 or 12 months you own a dossier that Google itself can no longer reproduce: every change your agency made, what it cost, and what it delivered, month by month. That history is yours — if you ever switch agencies, the dossier travels with you and the new agency starts with full context. You can also kick-start it on day one by importing Google's 2-year change-history export.
What data does AgencyLens access, and where is it stored?
We read four things through the official Google Ads API: campaign settings and structure, performance metrics (spend, clicks, conversions, conversion value), the change history of your account, and Google's open recommendations. We never access your customers' personal data, your payment details, or your website. Everything is stored on EU servers (Germany), OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and agency employee emails are pseudonymized ('Thom B.' instead of a full address).
Do you share, sell, or train AI on my data?
No. Your data is never shared, sold, or used for anything beyond your own dashboard without your explicit consent. In the future we plan opt-in industry benchmarks — for example, how many changes an agency typically makes per month, or what a typical management fee is at your spend level — built exclusively from customers who choose to participate, aggregated so that no individual company or agency is ever identifiable. If you don't opt in, your data stays entirely private, with no loss of functionality.
